Vision: Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) aspires to establish transformational experiences and a deep sense of belonging to all Appalachian students.

Mission: The Appalachian Popular Programming Society educates and entertains the entire Appalachian State community through diverse programming and engagement opportunities.


History

Appalachian Popular Programming Society (APPS) serves as the primary student programming board at App State and is responsible for planning diverse, quality events for the entire community. APPS was founded in 1985 to help enhance student nightlife and support retention. APPS plays a vital role in fostering and developing an inclusive Appalachian State University community.

Council Members

Council Members must adhere and believe strongly in the APPS Constitution, By-Laws, and the program philosophy of the organization as outlined. They must also attend all council meetings, help with both standard and non-standard forms of publicity, work events, serve as a proxy representative for student Chairpersons when deemed necessary, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Chairperson and/or President. Council Members shall work to uphold the values of a student/staff partnership and shall be entrusted with the ethical standards, responsibility and powers of authority subject in serving the needs and constituents of the University.
